Watching the 1983 movie “The Right Stuff” had me thinking about space travel.
The movie was about the beginnings of flight above the earth,
the trial and errors that were made, and the courage those had to move things forward.
Orbiting to Mars is now the new land to explore.
Mars can be seen with our own eyes and is reddish in color.
They say it takes an average of 6-8 months to travel to the planet. It has mountains and water.
Future thought is that it could be a settlement for humans.
For now its a new frontier much like the Americas were to settlers exploring travel.
It will take a much larger boat with sails that don’t stop moving but anything is possible.
There are plenty of people interested in the journey to Mars.
I’ll just enjoy the red planet from the ground here on earth.
